Albert Gravestock died from wounds on 30th May, 1915, after having been brought back to the United Kingdom but as yet, there is no information as to when and where he was wounded. The 2nd Leicestershire battalion was part of the Garhwal Brigade, Meerut Division of the Indian Corps that had been in action during the Battle of Festubert earlier in the month.
